Join nursing professor and legal nurse consultant Katie Aumann Morales along with attorneys Cara Weiner and Craig Webster for a panel discussion on criminal liability for medication errors. The presenters will review the legal definitions and background of criminal liability for medical errors. The interactive presentation will identify areas of high risk for medical errors and include case studies to highlight the current challenges to safe nursing practice. Participants will gain a working knowledge of the practitioner's rights when administering medications and best practices to promote a just culture.
