Join Lakeisha Falwell, a LNC with specialty expertise in oncology as a nurse practitioner for a webinar discussing what the LNC needs to know about oncology infusion therapy. The webinar will discuss patient populations that utilize infusion therapy services and the classification system used for chemotherapy drugs and associated risks. LNC Falwell will cover management of an infiltration or extravasation with review of presenting symptoms of infusion reactions an anaphylaxis, common rescue medications give for reaction along with important patient education components and critical elements of patient assessment in the outpatient oncology infusion patient population.
