Description/Purpose: Participation in this online module will increase the learner’s knowledge about communicating with clients in the legal setting.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify essential verbal communication skills for the LNC in a client interview
- Name potential barriers to verbal communication
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of the legal team members
- List the purpose of both the plaintiff and defense client interviews
- Recognize the role of the LNC during the client interview process
- Draft a list of topic areas of information to cover during a client interview
- Explore the roles and responsibilities of the LNC as a member of the legal team
