Target Audience: RNs interested in learning more about legal nurse consulting and life care planning
Description/Purpose: Participation in this online module will increase the learner’s knowledge on how a life care plan is utilized and the LNC role in completing life care plans.
Learning Objectives:
- Evaluate the utilization of a life care plan in assessment of damages in a case
- Understand the history and evolution of life care planning
- Items to consider when choosing a life care planner
- Outline and differentiate the usual elements and/or categories included in a life care plan
- Describe essential steps and considerations necessary for completion of a reliable life care plan
- Identify how to market themselves to attorneys and life care plan experts who assess damages
Continuing Education: The American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants is accredited as a provider of continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
