Join Terri Chabaud and Norma Medina, experienced LNCs, for a webinar discussing
the basics of Defense Medical Exams (DME) and the qualities and skills the LNC
needs to attend them effectively. The LNC presenters will cover the
components of a DME and the qualities and skills required for effective
observation by the LNC attending an exam. They will discuss the value of
being the “eyes and ears” of the attorney for these exams. LNCs attending
the webinar will learn about civil law and guidelines for DME and the role of
the nurse observer, including preparation of the client and the role of the LNC
before, during, and after the exam.
