Description/Purpose: Join legal nurse consultant Karyn Currie for a discussion on Never Events. Learn more about the purpose and origin of CMS Never Events and how the LNC can examine   the implications of largely preventable events in case evaluation. Commonly accepted standards of care for falls and skin breakdown with nuance will be reviewed. Learners will gain knowledge based on current evidence and best practices for prevention of falls and skin breakdown while challenging some prior assumptions with current science for application to case review. LNC Currie will use examples to better equip LNCs for case work on these difficult to litigate Never Event Cases.
